FROM THE PRINCIPAL AND ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Last weekend Pope Leo XIV celebrated his Inauguration Mass. In his homily, he calls us to ‘walk towards God and Love one another’. Pope Leo XIV recalled how love and unity are the two aspects of the mission entrusted to Peter by Jesus. In the Gospel on this Sunday, Jesus entrusts the disciples to continue the mission, to be ‘fishers of men’ and bring the ‘hope of the Gospel’ to all people’ so that they may experience God’s embrace.
From the Principal and Assistant Principal…
Kiss and Drive
We would like to thank those parents who continue to keep our students and children safe of an afternoon. To the parents who are ensuring that the crossing is safe and allowing people to cross, thank you. To the parents who continue to utilise Kiss and Drive safely, ensuring that they are not double parked causing cars and buses to cross over the other side of the road to maintain traffic flow. These are the rules that ensure everyone is safe. If the Kiss and drive line is full and there are cars parked along the road, then the line needs to be continued behind the cars that are parked and when safe to do so, pull around the parked car and maintain the flow. Parking inspectors will be making surprise visits over the coming weeks, so please ensure that you are doing the right thing.
Opal cards
All children who catch a school bus are required to carry an Opal Card with them. When they hop off the bus of an afternoon they are required to swipe this card. This assists the bus company in knowing how popular a bus route is and whether it is viable for the route to continue. When only 1-2 students ‘tap’ on this gives a false impression of the need for the bus. Please assist us in ensuring that your children have their Opal card with them. We have also spoken to the students about this to ensure that they are doing their part here at school. For any replacement cards or if you need to apply for a card, simply follow this link;

Winter Uniform
We have made contact with Lowes about the girls winter blouses and they haven’t been able to confirm a date any time soon when stock will be available. Please feel free to substitute a lemon coloured skivvy in the meantime - if you can find one. Or a white one. White is available from K-Mart and Target for $7.00 - $8.00 and may be a viable option that doesn’t cost too much for a short term solution. When stock is back in, we shall revert to the correct uniform. Another alternative is using the summer uniform with the tights. Staff will know about these alternatives so please reassure your children they will not be ‘in trouble’.

Parent Meetings for students with a Personalised Plan
This week, staff started collaborative planning meetings for parents of students who have a Personalised Plan. For any child who has received a diagnosis via a medical practitioner, such as ADHD, ASD, or a Speech delay, this may indicate that your child has a Personalised Plan. This plan outlines the adjustments that we have in place to support your child’s learning. We thank you for your time in this collaborative process. Teachers will endeavour to make contact with you if you have not booked an appointment, so you will not miss out.
Tell Them From Me Survey
The Tell Them From Me survey captures data from three groups; Parents, Students (Yr 4 - 6) and Teachers. The school uses the data collected in this survey to identify our strengths and then map out our next steps based on our needs.
We strongly encourage our Parent community to complete the Tell Them From Me survey using the following link:
http://tellthemfromme.com/7wsjg
The survey is anonymous and should not take longer than 10 minutes.
Thank you to the considerable number of parents who have already completed the survey.
God Bless!

Today is the Feast of St Eugene and we had the opportunity to celebrate a special liturgy in the Church as a whole school community. We thank Year 5 lfor leading the liturgy today. It was reverant and full of joy!
St Eugene was the founder of the ‘Oblates of Mary Immaculate’. His overwhelming desire to serve God as a missionary priest inspired Father Leo, Father Didier and many like him to join the priesthood.
Under the patronage of Mary, these missionary priests travel across the world to serve and support many communities. We are very lucky to have the Oblates guide and support our school and parish!
