FROM THE PRINCIPAL AND ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS
Last Sunday’s Gospel…
Jesus showed the human emotions of anger and frustration in the Gospel story when he drove people away from the temple. They had turned it into a market for making money instead of keeping it sacred. He also gave a prophetic message about his own death and resurrection – the temple (Jesus) would be torn down and rebuilt in three days.
News…
Car Park and Car Lines
I have met a lot of grandparents this week which had been lovely. They don’t have access to the newsletter so I have been telling them about the parish car park. I will be putting some sort of signage up to help spread the word. Please remember, no access 8.15 - 8.30am, and 2.30pm – 2.45pm. Thank you!
New Playgrounds Update
We are just waiting for the final architect drawings so we can be issued with an Occupation Certificate. We are busy planning though, to be ready, and have purchased balls and a lot of other outdoor games so the students have lots of activities to choose from on all playgrounds. We need to make a couple of changes to rosters to accommodate more playground duties for staff. This means some of our morning routines will change slightly but we will let you know when that needs to happen and what those changes will be.
Dogs and other animals
Please don’t being dogs or other animals onto the playground to pick up or drop of your children. They are considered a risk – even though many aren’t, and a lot of children are afraid of them. I have two Golden Retrievers myself and love dogs but school is not the place for them. Thank you!
NAPLAN
Plans for administering NAPLAN smoothly and without undue anxiety are well underway. Students are familiar with the use of iPads, how to sign in and the style of questions. It is very much business as usual for us so please assure your children that they needn’t be worrying.
I am meeting with CEDoW technical people tomorrow about a video style newsletter too. Soo keep a look out in the coming weeks and let me know what you think.
God Bless,
Ms Michelle Rolfe, Mr Lindsay Burns and Ms Emilia Ahern

LENTEN Mufti Day & Holy Week Reflection
DATE: Wednesday, 27 March 2024
Holy Week is a time for remembering and participating in the Passion of Jesus Christ.
Students are invited to wear something purple for our very special Holy Week Mufti Day along with a gold coin donation. This money will be sent to Caritas as part of our commitment to supporting Project Compassion and those in need.
During Holy Week this year our students will be participating in the Stations of the Cross. All students will engage in a spiritual reflection where they pause to reflect on Christ’s passion, death and resurrection.
