Due to heavy rainfall in the lead-up to the Diocesan Cross Country event, the Nowra track was unfortunately deemed unsuitable for competition. As a result, an alternative Representative Time Trial was held at the Illawarra Criterium Track to select the Wollongong team for the CPS Cross Country Championships.

We are proud to share that MIEV was represented by Luca P (Year 4), who delivered an outstanding performance and placed 10th overall. Congratulations, Luca, on your incredible achievement!

In the coming fortnight, we will share details about the upcoming Athletics Carnival. As always, we will be seeking parent volunteers to support the event. We have listened to feedback from previous carnivals and understand that volunteers can sometimes miss seeing their child compete. This year, we will do our best to assign roles that still allow parents to watch their child’s events. If you have an athletics background and can assist with specific events such as shot put, discus, or long jump, we would love your help. You will be able to indicate your availability when the permission note is sent via Compass.
