FROM THE PRINCIPAL AND ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS
Last Sunday’s Gospel…
Jesus was asked which of the Ten Commandments was the greatest. Jesus surprised the audience by not choosing one of the Ten. He said there were really only two. To love the Lord your God with all your strength and all your soul and to love your neighbour as yourself. This loving of the other is what has helped Christians endure though some of the hardest times in human history over the last 2000 years. Even today, Christian organisations and charities continue to provide love to the ‘other’. We too have to do this in our daily interactions.

Classes 2025
This is your final opportunity to make requests about separating your child from another students they may have difficulty with that we may not know about or could possibly forget because things have been peaceful for a while. Please make sure you email or write to me because I will reply, so you know I have received it, and pass it on to the classroom teachers. I then check when the lists have been prepared to make sure we haven’t missed anything. If you have made a request and haven’t received a reply from me, please make contact with the office because I haven’t received it.
They are due in by this coming Friday so that teachers have time to assign classes and then have sufficient time in handing over details and strategies to the new classroom teacher. Teachers have lists from students about who they would like to be with and are spending a lot of time in ensuring students are with at least one person from their list. I appreciate the time they are taking on this task as I am sure do you.
Celebration Sing Out. The Celebration Sing Out concert was a credit to the students’ teachers and their parents. The quality of the performance was incredible. The students also had the opportunity to work with a full symphony orchestra and senior choir. It is an event they will remember well into the future. I encourage you to be involved in 2025. For some adults too, it was their first experience of the world of classical music and was quite moving.
Feast Day & Grandparents Day and Christmas Concert
Due to our growing numbers we have had to make logistical changes in order to accommodate our growing family. We have been working hard to try to predict numbers, to ensure everyone is as comfortable and safe as possible and to keep the special atmosphere these important days have. I hope we get everything ‘right’ and we will certainly debrief and reflect about how we can make things better. You will be getting a lot of information about these events as they come closer so please make an effort to read through the material. You may see something we have missed! And knowing what the plans are will mean you can help us out on the days too.
Parent and Carer Information and Q&A Sessions
As previously sent out on Compass, we are holding a combined information session – to share with you how we have responded to your input so far, and to answer any questions or take on more suggestions. The repeated sessions are Monday 18 November 1.15pm – 2.15pm and 6.30pm – 7.30pm. If you have any questions it would be helpful to have a prepared answer for, or you are not able to attend, please be sure to send them in. They are anonymous. We will also prepare a flier summarising what was discussed for those of you unable to attend.
God Bless,
