Our Lady Help of Christians Feast Day -
Friday 24 May 2024 - 10:00 am Liturgy
Students will be attending a very special liturgy on the 24 May to celebrate the feast day of ‘Our Lady Help of Christians’. Can you believe that the Church named Mary the patron of Australia in 1844?
Since this time we have turned to Mary to be our spiritual guide to strengthen us in our faith, love and compassion.
Feast of St Eugene
Yesterday was the Feast Day of St Eugene. Students in Years 2, 4 and 6 represented a visual time line of his life artistically to share with our school community.
On the far left, Year 2 have depicted St Eugene finding God and becoming a priest.
Year 4 composed an artwork showing the growth and development of his religious order; the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The priests are reaching out in service to the poor.
Finally Year 6 have represented the growth of the Oblate community across the world. Their mission is to evangelise the poor and serve those in need.
As you can see, we have many talented students in our school!
We would like to wish Father Leo and Father John a very happy feast day. We are extremely lucky to have the Oblates serving the Mary Immaculate parish.
