FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
It was truly a day that embodied the concept of synergy.
The definition of synergy is when two or more things work together to create something that is bigger or greater than the sum of their individual efforts. This was definitely visible on Monday.
A day like Monday would not be possible without the combined efforts of many individuals. Gratitude is extended to our wonderful staff, our enthusiastic parent volunteers, the members of the P & F and the energy of the students from Mt Carmel College. Our most important people, our students, had the opportunity to participate in a range of competitive and non-competitive athletic and novelty events using the fantastic resources and equipment available at Campbelltown Stadium. Thank you to all staff, with special mention to the members of the Athletics Carnival Committee under the leadership of Andrew Astill for the meticulous planning and organisation of the day. We are extremely grateful to all our staff who assisted with the packing, loading and set up of equipment at the venue. As always our staff epitomise the meaning of teamwork. We very much welcome any feedback or suggestions regarding the carnival, as this will greatly assist us in our future planning.
Wishing all members of our community many opportunities in the week ahead to bring Christ to life for others during this Lenten season.

As communicated in the newsletter last week we are still desperately seeking volunteers for the following positions on the P & F Executive Committee. The positions of Secretary, Treasurer, Hospitality Co-ordinator and Fundraising Coordinator were not filled at the recent Annual General Meeting and we are currently seeking support from the wider parent community from anyone who may be interested in assuming any of these roles. Copies of the Role Descriptions were included with last week’s newsletter and are included again this week. It is important that parents who are considering volunteering for these roles are able to commit to assisting during the school day. Without parent volunteers the viability and continuity of this valuable parent group will be compromised during 2022.
We are grateful to Lorraine Brown - Parent / President and Kerry Watson - Grandparent / Vice President, who have accepted nominations and leadership roles in this vital group within our school community for 2022.
OFFICIAL DATE FOR CHANGE-OVER TO WINTER UNIFORMS IS MONDAY MAY 9.
Due to the unpredictable weather, there will be a grace period during Week 1 and 2 of Term 2 where students are able to choose the most appropriate uniform for the weather conditions.
All students will officially commence wearing their full Winter Uniform on
Monday May 9 - Week 3.
