Congratulations to all our wonderful students who have returned their books – it has been a very different year this year, we are praying that 2022 will be back to normal! Reading is such an asset in all areas of our learning, and the more we read the better we become at it. Learning to use the Library is an essential life-skill, equipping our students with the ability to find their way around any Library for information or recreation. 

Please continue to search your rooms, book shelves, under beds etc at home to see where any Library books or Classroom Readers might be hiding! There are still 65 students who need to return books, and over 100 books not returned, so we ask that these can please be returned by Friday 10 December. If the books cannot be found, we are happy to either receive a replacement book or the cost of a replacement. Thank you for your support. 

The Australian Children’s Poetry website https://australianchildrenspoetry.com.au/ has some great poems written for children. This one, posted yesterday, might be one we can relate to at the moment:

Have a wonderful Christmas with your families, enjoy a good Christmas break, and remember that holidays are the best time to catch up with your reading – not only the children but parents too! Your children learn from you the importance of reading in their lives.
