KINDERGARTEN 2022 TRANSITION

Yesterday we began the Kindergarten 2022 Transition to School program. Starting school is a big milestone for children and their families. The transition between learning environments can be both challenging and exciting and the importance of a positive transition to school experience has been consistently emphasised in research around the world. A large body of evidence suggests a successful transition helps improve children’s educational and social outcomes. 

The structured transition program at Mary Immaculate is designed to help the children become more familiar with the school setting and for our staff to get to know the children so that we can be best prepared for the commencement of their formal education. The children will complete activities within the school environment with Mary Immaculate staff and meet some of the other children that they will be commencing school with next year. The transition program will continue over the next two and a half weeks. 

If your child is beginning Kindergarten next year and you have not yet registered them, could you please contact the office, as it is of the utmost importance that all children participate in this program.
